Meet the author
Malcolm C was seven when he created Boy in the Wild. Every gorilla, every super-strong bear and every "THUMP!" came straight out of his head.
He's the kind of kid whose brain is always coming up with something: characters, stories, comics. With his friend James, he even invented Comix, their own way to build, draw and work on comic ideas together.
When it came time to make a book, Malcolm told the stories out loud, answered a lot of questions, and helped choose the pictures. The words in the book are his words.
"This book isn't a puzzle to solve or a lesson to study… just enjoy the ride."

Malcolm's book
Ten-year-old MC Junior never goes anywhere without his toolbox, and in the wild he's going to need it.
A gorilla in the trees, a bear that won't stay in the lava, a paper car that hits 1,000 miles per hour, a lair that turns into a giant chicken nugget, and five criminals armed with illusions. Fully illustrated in color. Ages 6–10.
